David J Corliss, PhD

Bio: David J Corliss, PhD is the founder and Director of Peace-Work, a volunteer cooperative of statisticians and data scientists applying AI, advanced analytics, and statistical methods to issue driven advocacy in poverty, education, social justice, and providing analytic support for charitable groups. Human trafficking is a major initiative at Peace Work. Dr . Corliss holds a PhD in statistical astrophysics from the University of Toledo.

Jarrett Davis, MA

Affilliation: Independent Social Researcher

Bio: Jarrett Davis has 15 years of experience designing and conducting evidence-based research and programming for children and vulnerable persons who have experienced sexual exploitation and violence. This includes specialist projects on harmful sexual behaviors among children in Cambodia, street-working children in the Philippines, Cambodia, and Thailand, as well as children and young people who trade sex in a range of nations. Most of his work has developed in post-colonial settings, often at the intersection of race, class, gender, and sexuality. These perspectives guide his work, placing the lived experiences of children and vulnerable people at the forefront of research outcomes. Jarrett prioritises community inclusion and data accessibility to enable better dialogue between the worlds of programming and policy. While currently based in the Bronx, New York, he has lived and worked extensively in Southeast Asia for more than a decade. More info and recent publications available at: www.jarrettdavis.org.

Madeline Stenersen, PhD

Affilliation: Saint Louis University Depatment of Pschology

Dr. Madeline Stenersen is a researcher, evaluator, consultant, and current Assistant Professor of Psychology at Saint Louis University. She specializes in conducting community-based participatory research in close partnership with local and national organizations in the areas of sex trafficking, law enforcement, substance use, and health equity. In addition to scholarly publications and presentations, Dr. Stenersen’s work also emphasizes the dissemination of research findings to the larger community and society through online, op-ed, and policy-based materials. She has completed multiple evaluations of sex trafficking prevention and intervention programming with law enforcement, health care personnel, school children, and other community stake holders. Dr. Stenersen also has expertise advanced qualitative and quantitative methods and in using big and public data to combat violence and trafficking. As a result of her work, Dr. Stenersen has received multiple awards from the American Psychological Association including the Bridging the Gap Award for her work connecting research efforts to on-the-ground change and outcomes in local communities.
